The following note was sent by David Gee (Chantal's good friend and a key component of the Free Chantal team) to her supporters in response to hearing the news of her treaty transfer denial:

July 2006

Dear supporter,

Bad news I'm afraid from Chantal's attorney. Anyone in the London area can see a report on BBC1 London news tonight, July 14, after 6:30pm.

Obviously, we have no intention of giving up. It just means Chantal needs more support than ever.

All the best,

David
