Couple Defended by Former Clients
The Express
A woman who made her fortune with the help of Chantal and William McCorkle has spoken out against the US courts and what she sees as the injustice done to her friends.
Marianne Fasolo, 36, spoke exclusively to the Express from her home in Wisconsin America.
She said ‘When I first took part in Chantal and William’s programme my life was in a real mess. I was in a violent relationship and I left, taking my children with me.’
Ms Fasolo was penniless until she bought the McCorkle’s property development video, which showed buyers how to make a profit from property sold at government auctions.
Now worth nearly $1 million, she said: ‘They changed my life, without them I would not be where I am now. I met them several times and I cannot believe they would do anything wrong.’
A loyal friend and former employee Craig Fondu, 34, of Lake Mary, Orlando was a salesman for the McCorkle business.
He decided to speak out following the Draconian sentence passed on the couple, saying: ‘It is so, so wrong. They are such wonderful people and there is no way that they could have concocted a plot to set up a company to con all these people.’
He added: ‘I would do anything to help them that is why I wanted to talk to the Express.
‘The fact that these people could have got longer in jail than a convicted child molester is insane.’
The McCorkle created 400 jobs and all of these people, including Mr. Fondu, were thrown out of work when the US Government seized all the couple’s assets.
