Jo Sale Speaks Out

After reading 'My husband sentenced me to 24 years in jail' in the Daily
Mirror magazine M, I felt I had to write and pledge my support.

It is very clear that Chantal should never have gone to prison. The law
has let her down badly. I can't imagine the horrors Chantal must have gone
thru, and is still going thru. The point system is set in the Stone Age. How can Chantal's add up to 40? this amount is ludicrous. She is an innocent person who got herself tangled up in a nightmare.

Her treatment in prison sounds nothing short of barbaric. I hope and pray
that the District Judge makes the right decision, for a retrial.

I am not sure if you can pass this e mail onto Chantal herself. If you are
able to, my message to you Chantal, is keep the faith - hold onto that
dream of walking free soon.  You are wrongfully imprisoned, and truth will out in the end. Thousands of people will have read the story in M magazine (the supplement in the Daily Mirror in the UK), and been appalled.  You got involved with a guy who turned out to be weak and that made him panic and resulted in him cruelly telling lies and implicating you in something you knew nothing about. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
