I have corresponded with Chantal in prison ever since reading her story in Cosmopolitan. I have written an awful lot of letters to all the people she suggested, and have received an awful lot of non-committal, sometimes even negative replies. What do we members of the public have to do to help Chantal? It seems to me that the tree we're trying to cut down (an image she used in her last letter to me to explain the way we have to keep writing letters) has a very thick trunk. I just cannot believe that she was given 24 years for her "crime".

Best wishes to Chantal; You're always in my thoughts.
