Like many other British women, I have just read the article about Chantal in Cosmo Magazine. I am shocked and disgusted at the American legal system putting a young (and frankly innocent) gilr through this sort of turmoil. Just a few weeks ago in Glasgow, Scotland where I live, a 30 year old man tragically raped, tortured and murdered an 8 year old boy. Did this sick bastard receive a 24 year sentence like Chantal? No! 15 years was all he got. A smack on the hand compared to the harsh sentence Chantal was given. I just hope for Chantal and her family's sake that George Bush takes his head out his own arse and makes this case a top priority, instead of sending more innocent soldiers to Iraq to be slaughtered.
